ABOUT . . .

TreeTime

is a short, poetic conversation with a nearby tree asking you to reflect on your relationship with nature and the people around you. Through curiosity and conversation, visitors will reflect on the future we share with all living things, build empathy with nature, and move towards collective action. Listen to nature, and you may walk away feeling a deeper sense of connection and collaboration with the environment, and a realization we are in this together.

Currently TreeTime is installed at Salzburg Global Seminar where you can engage with the project through an artist designed book, A Visitors Guide to TreeTime, by finding small bronze plaques around the forest and with a map that  marks where each tree is located. This project will gather responses and use the data to depict a future we want to share.

TreeTime is one part of a long-term multi-site project called Future of Futures, a series of public art installations that uses a range of interactive tools and methods for gathering people’s visions for their city and the environment.

Futures of Futures is an ever-evolving initiative that asks people to dream beyond current systems through curiosity, play, and planning.  If you are interested in working with PLUS/AND to better connect people to each other and their shared futures using public art, civic engagement, and data and technology— let us know!
